Bicentennial Bites,

The War of 1812

http://www.ospreyblogs.com/wordpress/?cat=31

This was the History Web Log that gave me the idea and inspired me to create the Brockville History Album this year.

Kathy Powell has created her blog on behalf of the City of Niagara Falls Museum Board who operate 3 museums in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Her History Web Log was started in July of 2007 to build up interest and knowledge of the the 200-year anniversary of the opening of the War of 1812 to be celebrated in 2012.

This was the conflict between the United States and Great Britain that is of great importance of the history of Canada. Many of the battles in the border region were fought in the Niagara region in the period 1812-14.

This blog entitled Bicentennial Bites - War of 1812 is posted through the facilities of the Niagara Falls Review part of the Osprey division of Quebecor, as is the Brockville Recorder and Times.
